Toro Toro Sushi and Poke

It was my first time dining with a friend and we very much enjoyed everything! The crouching tiger was my favourite. Place is clean and very bright and staff was friendly. Would definitely come back again.

I had this in the Vaughn location and Scarborough location, you also get a free roll if it is your birthday if you download the app, you get a free roll, excellent service, we got our sushi quick and everything tasted and looked so fresh, their presentation is phenomenal, the salmon tacos were my favourite, the salmon sashimi tasted so fresh. This is probably one of the best sushi I have ever tasted in my life. The sushi just melts in your mouth, and the sashimi cuts were so good, the aburi sushi was fire I can eat that all day, quality is top notice taste is top notch and service is top notch.

The decor of the restaurant was fancy and refined to match the food. Every detail was planned thoroughly from the togo box to the decor ect. I got the sharable sushi box for two. Some of the sushi peices were exceptionally delightful rich in smokey flavours, different textures, new fishes I haven't tried and it aestheticly pleasing. Even the rice was very tasty and fresh. Unfortunately, im not a big fan of raw fish so i was on the fence about few of the items in the box but to my surprise I enjoyed some of the raw fishes they had in the mixed box. They put quite a bit of creativity into their sushi which I appreciated. I found the service to be quick for my takeout order considering the prep time required to make these pieces.

Food tasted amazing, staff were super friendly, and the grand opening was awesome. They gave away free poke bowls to the first 1000 customers. We ended up getting the Toro Toro Bowl and the Classic Bowl, both of which tasted fantastic. The salmon tasted fresh and delicious and so were the rest of the ingredients. They also had a claw machine where I won two prizes in one attempt where I got $5 coupons. 10/10 I’ll definitely be coming back!

The sushi options we got were delicious! I don’t remember what we got exactly, but each sushi melted in my mouth. The set prices were also reasonable, so even if you get two sets of the 6-8 piece, you’ll be full. The way the food was served was also interesting! You’re technically getting them in take-out boxes/containers, but I’m guessing it’s easier for clean-up because you just throw them out after. (Although, I don’t know if it’s much more sustainable this way.)

Ordered the Suki set for Valentine’s Day. It was super easy to pre-order and my husband picked up the order quickly and smoothly. The Suki set looked gorgeous and it tasted amazing too. Will definitely try other boxed sets and it was worth it for a special occasion.

Not my first rodeo at Toro Toro. This restaurant has been a long time go-to. Both the Scarborough and Markham location have great ambience and the service is fast. Most importantly, the sushi is spectacular for the price. Usually I order the platters but this time we got the rainbow maki, spicy tuna maki, and the double salmon maki.

Tried Toro Toro at their newly opened Richmond location and was very impressed with the quality of their sushi. We were actually recommended this place for takeout, even though the restaurant itself looked really nice inside — definitely somewhere I’d come back to dine in. We placed a pickup order for dinner with friends and family and went with the 50-piece platter, which had a great variety and a solid selection of their signature rolls and maki. All of the sashimi was fresh and beautifully presented. Even for takeout, the attention to detail stood out — from the branded bag and platter box to the neatly packed sauces, ginger, and wasabi. We also ordered miso soup, which was solid and comforting. Overall, nothing disappointed and everything was enjoyed. Great quality sushi and a strong first impression — looking forward to dining in next time.
